Order for Service

A document that authorizes movers to transport your household goods.

Order Number (Bill of Lading)

The number used to track or identify your shipment, also referred to as the Bill of Lading.

Origin and Destination Service Charge

A fee that is based on a hundred weight rate of a shipment plus any additional weight rates necessary due to stair or flight carries, excessive distance carries or other additional transportation charges, and compensates the moving company for general handling and servicing of a shipment. This charge also covers transborder shipments between the US and Canada as well as any import or export service fees.

Origin Agent

A responsible party in the area where the load begins, or originates, who is designated to be available for preliminary readying of a shipment and to assist or provide information regarding shipments before movement and to provide information regarding the customer’s move.

Overflow

Items that are left behind and placed on an additional van due to lack of space on the main moving truck.

Overtime Loading and Unloading Service

Any loading or unloading performed during after normal working or done on a holiday or a weekend. The rate of the overtime charge is based on the weight of the shipment.
