Tare Weight

The weight of the van before your goods are loaded onto it.

Tariff

A published price list and list of rules, regulations, rates and charges for the performance of interstate moving services that is required to be available for the customer’s review by moving companies.

Third-Party Services

Work performed at the request of the customer or required by law. Some examples of third-party services are servicing appliances or crating items in preparation to be moved.

Transport Type

The method of delivery for your household items. A moving company may use a variety of transportation methods to deliver your household goods, including trucks, trailers, truck & trailer or mobile containers.

Truck

A unibody truck used to transport household goods that is delivered to your home and remains there until it is loaded and pick-up is requested from the moving company.

Trailer

The compartment that is delivered to your home for loading. Upon completion, it is picked up and put onto a truck for transporting your household goods.

Truck and Trailer

Both the cab and the attached container unit that is delivered to your home to remain until it is completely loaded and pick-up is requested from the moving company for delivery.
